Center of Moscow CSKA Livio Jean-Charles has not signed any document from the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) and does not plan to leave Russia, the army press service told .
On Tuesday, the head of the FFBB, Jean-Pierre Suta, said that Saint Petersburg “Zénith” point guard Thomas Ertel had been suspended from playing for the France national team due to the transfer to the Russian club.
– Has your basketball player signed a document with the national federation, according to which he undertakes not to move to Russian and Belarusian clubs?
— No, Jean-Charles did not sign. And he’s not going anywhere from the club,” the CSKA press service said.
The French basketball player has been playing in the army since July 2022. The contract with the 28-year-old player was concluded according to the “1 + 1” scheme.
