Saratov”Avtodor “has signed a contract with American defender Malik Newman, reports the press service of the basketball club.
The deal with the 25-year-old is calculated until the end of the 2022/23 season.
“I want to tell the fans of the Saratov team that I am extremely happy to be at Avtodor and will be even happier to please them with victories,” Newman said.
In the NBA, Newman played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In February 2020, the basketball player made his debut for the team in the game with the Los Angeles Clippers, scoring the league’s first points. The player also defended the colors of Turkey’s Bursaspor and Israel’s Ironi Nahariya.
Avtodor is ninth in the VTB United League standings.
