The Slovenian became the first player in 60 years to score 30 points in the first seven games of the season, on a night when the Argentine was inactive.
Luka Doncic continues to make history NBA and this Wednesday became the first player since 1962-1963 season to score more than 30 points in each of the first seven games of the season. The Slovenian is also the third player in league history to achieve this, following in the footsteps of Jack Twyman (1959-1960) and Wilt Chamberlain (twice: 1959-1960 and 1962-1963).
Doncic had 33 points (12 of 20 shooting, 2 of 6 triples), 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 2 steals against 5 turnovers in the Mavericks’ tight win over the Utah Jazz (103-100).
The Jazz won by 15 points in the third quarter but Dallas reversed the score in the final quarter.
Jordan Clarkson, the Jazz’s best with 22 points and 8 assists, missed a three pointer at the buzzer that would have forced extra time.
The Argentinian Facundo Campazzo has no place in the Mavericks rotation.
