With no Americans in the fight for the MVP, the NBA announces the list of finalists for all the individual awards of the season; check the names that are in disputes
This Sunday, the 17th, the NBA released the finalists for the 2021/22 regular season MVP, and the three-man roster does not include American athletes. Competing for the best player award: the Greek Giannis Antetkounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), the Serbian Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Cameroonian Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers).
In addition to the trio of players in the fight for MVP, the league announced the three finalists of all the individual awards of the season, such as “Coach of the Year”, “Defense Player”, “Most Evolved Player”, “Rookie of the Year” and “sixth man”. The announcements were made during the first round of the playoffs, which began last Saturday.

In the running for the NBA Coach of the Season election: Taylor Jenkins (Memphis Grizzlies), Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat) and Monty William (Phoenix Suns). The Arizona franchise coach arrives for the second consecutive time among the finalists for the award. In the “sixth man” category are: Tyler Herrofrom Heat; Cam Johnson, from the Suns; and Kevin Loveof Cleveland Cavaliers.
The other individual awards have names such as Mikal Bridges, Rudy Gobert and Marcus Smartin “Defense Player of the Year”; Darius Garland, already Morant and dejounte Murray, in “player who evolved the most”; and Scottie Barnes, Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley are in contention for the honor of “rookie of the season”.
