Greiner reveals where she got medical marijuana from

Double Olympic basketball champion Britney Greiner whose trial is taking place in Khimki, explained where and why medical marijuana appeared in his luggage during an inspection in Sheremetyevo.

An American woman was arrested in February on suspicion of trying to illegally import hash oil through Sheremetyevo airport, and a criminal case has been opened for drug trafficking. Greiner faces a prison sentence of 5 to 10 years.

– I purchased the cartridges on an Arizona State License to Purchase Medical Marijuana. To do this, I went to the doctor and filled out paperwork to get permission.

During her career, there were spinal injuries, a broken knee and ankle, she moved around in a wheelchair for four months. I asked for marijuana because painkillers have a lot of side effects,” Greiner explained.

The basketball player added that medical cannabis has no side effects, so she preferred it to conventional painkillers.

Medical cannabis is very common in the United States. Many athletes use it, she concluded.

Greiner, 31, has been playing for UMMC since 2015, winning two Olympics with Team USA (2016, 2020).
