Mykhailyuk is the second Ukrainian in history to reach the NBA finals

The Celtics will play the winner of the Dallas Mavericks-Minnesota Timberwolves pair in the finals.

Ukrainian defender Boston Celtics Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk became the second Ukrainian to play in NBA playoff finals.

The Celtics went through the Miami Heat (4-1), Cleveland Cavaliers (4-1) and Indiana Pacers (4-0) in the playoffs. For Mikhailyuk, this is his second participation in the NBA playoffs and his first appearance in the finals. Previously, Stanislav Medvedenko, who won two titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, played in the NBA finals.

In total, Svyatoslav played 46 matches this season. On average, in almost 10 minutes of playing time, the Ukrainian scores 3.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists. Mikhailyuk made it to the playoffs in five matches, averaging 3.6 minutes on the floor.

The Boston Celtics will play the winner of the Dallas Mavericks-Minnesota Timberwolves pair in the NBA Finals. After three matches in the series, the Mavericks lead with a score of 3:0.
