Olympic Games: Men’s basketball qualification day

Friday’s results inform us of the first classification in the quarterfinals in the most important competition.

The sixth day of basketball at the Olympic Games begins the final day and determines who advances to the round in Group A and B. Spain and Germany, Canada have a bye. along with the other chosen ones, they entered the second stage.

Brazil was strong against Japan and won 102-84, in addition to qualifying for the next stage as the best third place. Canarinha managed to dominate the first and last stages in a big way. Thomas Walkup was the second Greek sword behind the Milwaukee Bucks player by scoring 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. The mythological team will have to wait for the result between South Sudan and Serbia to know whether it will qualify or not for the next stage of the competition.

In Australia, the standouts were Jock Landale with 17 points, eight rebounds, two steals and one assist. And point guard Dyson Daniels added 11 points, eight assists, six boards and one steal. However, despite the loss, the Boomers still celebrated. They were unable to come back against the Hellenic team and with Canada’s victory over Spain, they were in second place.

Canada won 88-85 against Spain and went unbeaten at the top of Group A. La Roja bid farewell to the competition with two losses and one victory in Rudy Fernández’s last Olympic event. The Europeans tried to fight and sometimes succeeded, but the Americans were more and remained unsullied by defeats.

The standouts for the Canucks were Andrew Nembhard with 18 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal. And Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 20 points, three boards, two assists and a rebound for Canada’s victory over Spain. They finished top of their group and could potentially face one of the third places.

In Spain, Santi Aldama reappeared to deliver the sinking blow, but they ended up sinking to the bottom of the table. The Memphis player had 11 rebounds, seven points, four assists and two blocks. While the Spanish scorer is Darío Brizuela with 17 points. La Roja bid farewell to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the group stage.
