Fans have questions about who approved this portrayal of the franchise legend.

Last night in Miami, Florida, near the Kasei Center, the home arena of the Miami Heat, a ceremony was held to unveil the statue of club legend Dwyane Wade, reports the official website of the NBA.

The ceremony will be held eight months after Heat president Pat Riley announced a plan to continue the legacy of The Flash.

The bronze statue is accompanied by a wall listing Wade’s career achievements and is placed at the entrance to the arena. It depicts Dwayne celebrating “This is my home” after he threw a buzzer beater against the Chicago Bulls in 2009.

However, the ceremony also had negative emotions. The truth is that many are not satisfied with the face of the statue, which does not look like Wade’s face at all.

Some have compared the statue to actor Laurence Fishburne, actor Djimon Hounsou, Washington Commanders coach Ken Norton Jr., former NFL defensive end Aeneas Williams and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.

In 2020, Wade will become the fifth player in Heat history to have his number retired, joining Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Bosh and Tim Hardaway.

Additionally, no one in club history has more games (948), minutes (32,912), points (21,556), assists (5,310), field goals made (8,385), interceptions (1,492) and 40-point games than Dwyane Wade.
