LAL head coach JJ Redick explained the reason for this failure.

“If there’s one thing, it’s that we need to go into the game with more pride on defense… this (Pistons) team is a lot different than last year. We’re all disappointed,” Redick was quoted as saying by ClutchPoints .

In the Detroit match, the Lakers lost in the first quarter with a score of 22:33, and after the second quarter, the Pistons’ lead increased to 14 points.

The Lakers will close out their road series against Memphis on November 7th. They will have a three-game home series.
