The well-known promoter expects an interesting confrontation between the lightweight boxers.

Eddie Hearn sees no favorite in the Lomachenko-Haney clash. A well-known promoter shared his opinion on the possible rivalry between the undisputed world champion in lightweight and the ex-world champion in three weight categories.

According to the functionary, the chances of winning are equal, but in the near future the American will change the weight category.

“Lomachenko vs. Haney was a great fight, but not as big as Garcia vs. Davis. It was only a matter of time before Devin moved up to light welterweight. Even when we were working with him, I knew it was going to be very difficult for to him. Haney is an extreme pro. If he drops his titles and goes up in weight, everyone will say he runs away from Lomachenko or stays and risks everything. Because it’s a 50-50 fight. However, I hope Stay Haney at 135 for another fight against Lomachenko. It’s a great fight and I believe Devin can win,” Boxing 247 quoted Hearn as saying.

Remember that on October 29, Lomachenko will fight Jamen Ortiz.

Earlier, Lomachenko said he wanted to strip the championship belt from Haney.
