Lomachenko: Stevenson will be harder to fight than Haney

Ukrainian considers Shakur more technical than Devin

Former world champion in three weight divisions Vasily Lomachenko considers former WBO and WBC super featherweight title holder Shakur Stevenson more dangerous opponent than the undisputed world champion Devin Haney.

“I think the fight with Shakur Stevenson will be more difficult. I think he’s more technical.”

Earlier, Lomachenko said that he would consider Stevenson as an opponent if championship belts were at stake. The Ukrainian is primarily interested in the title of absolute world champion.

Recall that on the eve of the fight with Robson Conceicao, the American did not fit into the regulated weight. Stevenson was victorious but vacated the WBO and WBC super featherweight titles.

Lomachenko had his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Vasily could fight with George Kambosos, but refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

After the fight with Ortiz, Vasily wants, first of all, to fight with lightweight Devin Haney, who holds the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO titles. Devin himself has repeatedly stated his readiness to meet Lomachenko in the ring.
