Hearn: Whyte vs Joshua is a must in first half of 2023 but Dillian should win on Saturday

On November 26, Whyte will fight the undefeated Franklin.

Promoter Eddie Hearn spoke about a possible fight Anthony Joshua against Dillian Whyte in 2023. He noted that Dillian first needed to defeat Jermain Franklin.

“When we talk about the big names in British boxing, Dillian Whyte is at the forefront. He is in the top three or four. We have been working with him for a very long time,” Hearn said.

“White vs Joshua is a must in the first half of 2023 but Dillian should win on Saturday. Yet, as we know, Jermaine Franklin wants to crash this party. AJ will be watching this fight closely because he really wants to fight White again. This is the only option for him at the moment that the stadium can assemble.”

White’s fight against undefeated American boxer Jermain Franklin will take place on November 26 in London. Recall that in April, Dillian lost to Tyson Fury by technical knockout in the sixth round in the fight for the WBC heavyweight title.

Joshua’s next fight is scheduled for late March or early April 2023. In August, Anthony lost by split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
