Prograis on the Lomachenko-Haney fight: I’m more inclined to win Haney. Loma’s skills are still with him, but he may have grown old

The fight can be arranged in the first half of 2023

WBC junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis commented on a possible fight between the ex-champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko and undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney.

“I don’t know how this fight will turn out. I think I’m leaning more towards Devin Haney. He is much more. Haney entered the ring to Lomachenko and looked much bigger than him. I believe that Loma’s skills are still with him, but he could get old and lose them.

“But it will still be a good fight. I won’t say that the chances are 50/50, but here everything is close, almost equally. However, I’m leaning more towards Haney winning.”

Top Rank head Bob Arum has confirmed that Haney’s next fight will be against Lomachenko. Earlier, Arum told when and where this fight could take place.

Lomachenko defeated American Jemaine Ortiz in his last fight. For the Ukrainian, this was the first fight in the last 10 months.

In October, Haney defeated George Kambosos again and retained the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles. Devin has repeatedly stated his readiness to face Lomachenko in the ring.
