WBC, WBO, IBF Russian light heavyweight world champion Arthur Beterbiev and Briton Anthony Yarde underwent the weigh-in procedure on the eve of the one-on-one bout in London.
Beterbiev’s weight was 79.15 kg, Yard – 79.04 kg.
Beterbiev will defend his belts against the WBO Yard mandatory challenger on January 28.
The 38-year-old Russian has 18 first wins in 18 fights in the professional ring. The 31-year-old Yard has 23 wins and two losses. Yard is familiar to the Russian viewer from the fight with Russian Sergey Kovalev, which took place in August 2019 in Chelyabinsk. In this fight, the British boxer lost earlier than expected.
