AMC Fight Nights Light Heavyweight Champion Vagab Vagabov recalls how he ended up at former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion’s workout Khabiba Nurmagomedova and his father Abdulmanap.
– There was once in my life, I remember this training. The Moscow team arrived at the Bazarganov club in Makhachkala, Khabib helped Shamil Zavurov prepare. I came as a guest with the Moscow team. I thought there would be sparring, and there was a day of wrestling. I didn’t know how to fight back then. A 60 kilo man could put his knee on me and I didn’t know what to do.
And I even had a ride with Khabib, he checked me every five minutes. I was then under 90, Khabib – under 80, but he put his control on me, so I stayed under him the whole round. It’s the day I remember. Abdulmanap also remarked to me about the fight, he likes to bite a little somewhere, notice a joint, give me a hint,” Vagabov told .
Vagabov on June 11 will fight under the rules of boxing with Dmitry Kudryashov.
