Financial arrangements still have ‘long way to go’
The battle WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury behind title of absolute world champion with the owner of WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO belts Oleksandr Usyk more likely to take place in England.
According to journalist Michael Benson, the Usyk-Fury fight is now more likely to take place in England than in Saudi Arabia, if it happens at all. It is also said that there is “a long way to go” in trying to negotiate a deal that will satisfy both rivals financially.
Earlier Usyk’s promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk said that the best time for the fight between the Ukrainian and Fury would be the end of April. Later, the date was named – April 29.
Promoter Bob Arum said that Usyk wants an equal distribution of income between the boxers in the fight with Fury. Arum also clarified that the organizers are waiting for proposals from representatives from the Middle East who wish to accept the fight.
