Athletistic/MMA. There are a total of four UFC events in June, which means there will be tournaments every weekend of the month, so it’s no wonder there are some big fights going on.

Top 5 UFC fights to look forward to in June.

#5 UFC Flyweight Fight: Kai Kara-France vs. Amir Albazi

The UFC’s first June event isn’t exactly the hottest name in the world, but the main event will feature some of the best flyweights in the world.

Kai Kara-France, who took 3rd place, will meet in this fight Amir Albazi, who took 7th place. With Brandon Moreno’s title defense against Alexander Pantozhy scheduled for July, there’s every chance the winner of this fight will fight for the title next.

Of the two, Cara-France has proven itself more in the octagon. Due to his victory over Cody Garbrandt, Askar Askarov and Rogerio Bontorin. However, Cara France hasn’t fought since losing to Moreno last July, which means he can be either fresh or vulnerable from lack of training.

Albasi, on the other hand, is still undefeated in the octagon with four wins. The last time the Iraqi native competed was in December, knocking out Alessandro Costa. With knockout power in his hands and a strong submission grip, he doesn’t have many weak spots.

It would probably be better for the division as a whole if Albasi won this fight, but Cara France is also a very exciting fighter who is probably hungry for another title.

#4 UFC Middleweight Fight: Marvin Vettori vs. Jared Cannonier

June 17 at the Fight Night show will be the main event fight in the middleweight division. Although neither Marvin Vettori nor Jared Cannonier are likely to earn a title shot after the victory, given that they are 3rd and 4th in the division.

Both fighters have picked up big wins lately, with Cannonier beating Sean Strickland last December and Vettori surpassing Roman Dolidze earlier this year.

Will it be an exciting fight? Honestly, it’s hard to say because none of the fighters show brilliant fights. Vettori, in particular, is not inclined to finish off opponents without falling himself.

Overall, though, given the high ratings of these two, it’s hard to downplay the importance of this fight as a whole. Without Israel Adesanya, any of the fighters could now hold the middleweight title, making this a must fight.

No. 3. UFC Featherweight: Josh Emmett vs. Ilya Topuria

The UFC is slated to wrap up in June with a visit to Jacksonville, Fla., and in the evening’s main event, featherweight greats Josh Emmett and Ilya Topuria will square off.

This is not only a huge test for Topuria, but also an exciting fight. Georgian-born Spaniard Topuria is unbeatable in the octagon and in mixed martial arts in general. He also established himself as one of the top fighters in the division to watch.

A powerful fighter with heavy punches, only one of his fights has come to an end – his octagon debut against Youssef Zalal. He has since beaten Damon Jackson, Ryan Hall and Jai Herbert, and most recently beat respected grappler Bryce Mitchell.

Emmett, of course, is a more proven fighter. He picked up wins over Calvin Kattar, Dan Ige and Shane Burgos and although he recently lost to Yair Rodriguez, it was his first loss since 2018.

If Topuria can win, it will be hard to deny him his next fight with the featherweight champion.

These two are likely to throw big punches and the fight is unlikely to go all the way. Thus, this fight is a must and is considered one of the best fights in June.

#2 UFC Bantamweight Title: Amanda Nunes vs. Irene Aldana

There’s only one UFC title fight scheduled for June, but it’s definitely a big fight. Amanda Nunes, an acclaimed MMA legend, is set to defend her bantamweight crown against top contender Irene Aldana to headline UFC 289.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the title fight originally planned, as the promotion originally planned a Nunes trilogy with Julianne Peña.

However, the truth is that compared to Peña, this is the best title fight. Not only has Aldana won four of her last five fights, but she is arguably the most dangerous fighter in the division.

Nunes definitely punches harder than any other female fighter. The Lioness has scored famous victories over Cris Cyborg, Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm.

Despite this, she is not getting any younger, and in her first fight with Penya, it was not so easy for her to cope with her opponent’s faster and more accurate blows.

No. 1. UFC Lightweight Fight: Charles Oliveira vs. Beneil Dariush

Although this is not a title fight, but just one of the headliners of the UFC 289 tournament, the best fight that will take place in June will undoubtedly be this lightweight fight between former champion Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush.

This fight was supposed to take place at the beginning of the year, but fell through when Oliveira got injured. Fortunately, the promotion decided to save the fight by postponing it to June.

Simply put, this fight might be one of the best lightweight fights we’ve seen in a long time.

Both fighters are fantastic grapplers, with Oliveira holding the record for most submission wins in UFC history (16). Meanwhile, Dariush is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with eight submissions under his belt.

However, that doesn’t mean they’re just grapplers. Oliveira and Dariush are also very effective strikers. Oliveira knocked out Michael Chandler and Dariush beat Scott Holtzman.

Can the winner of this tournament also compete for the lightweight title? Absolutely. Thus, it is this fight which can be considered as the best of the next month.
