Fighter Yoel Romero missed the press conference on the eve of the fight with the Russian Vadim Nemkov due to fear of heights.
The Cuban joined the event via a Zoom video conference as the event itself took place on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower in Chicago.
“Getting into this building is a fight I won’t win, I know that. I wouldn’t go there even if my kids were there. I couldn’t have climbed the Ferris wheel with them,” Romero quotes Cage side press .
The title fight between Nemkov and Romero is scheduled for June 16 as part of the Bellator 297 tournament in Chicago.
Nemkov has 15 career wins with two losses. Romero also has 15 wins to his name, but has suffered six losses.
