Athletistic/ MMA. UFC president Dana White says the organization is having trouble arranging a fight for Chechen-born Swedish fighter Khamzat Chimaev.

“To tell the truth, the situation with the fight changed several times. We tried to organize a Chimaev fight, and Diaz (American fighter Nate Diaz – about Athletistic) was in favor at first, then changed to We don’t have a fight for Chimaev right now, but we’re working on it. Let’s see if we can get these fighters back in the octagon,” White said.

The last time Khamzat Chimaev fought in the octagon was April 9, 2022 with Brazilian Gilbert Burns. Chimaev won by unanimous decision of the judges, and the fight itself was recognized as the “Best Fight of the Night” at the UFC 273 tournament. Khamzat has 11 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws in professional mixed martial arts. 5 out of 11 wins are in the UFC.

Hamzat’s possible rival, Nate Diaz, last entered the octagon on June 12, 2021. In a fight with England’s Leon Edwards, Diaz was defeated by unanimous decision. His stats in MMA are 20 wins, 13 losses, 0 draw.
