John Fury shares his opinion about a possible fight between the interim WBO title holder and the Ukrainian champion.
Oleksandr Usyk will have no chance of defeating Zhang Zhili if the WBO orders a mandatory title defense for the Ukrainian.
This is what John Fury, father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, said.
The Briton is confident that only his son is capable of defeating the Chinese, and the Ukrainian champion is said to be very small.
“When Zhang is on a roll, he will cause problems for any heavyweight except Tyson, because my son is in a different league. Zhilei will knock Usyk out because he is so small. When Zhang hits Usyk, he will knock him down.
But, again, Usyk can spin, move around the ring and do a jab to win on points. However, Zhilei will catch him, as Usik has already shown that he cannot handle the power of heavyweights. So if Zhilei hurt him, you can wish him a good night.
However, Zhilei has slow legs. His hands were fast, but Zhang’s legs couldn’t match his speed. He has very slow legs and fast hands. What will you do? It’s like a Bentley without keys: you can’t drive it unless someone pushes it,” Fury Snr said in an interview with YouTube channel Seconds Out.
We remind you that Zhillei’s manager named the Chinese boxer’s next opponent earlier.
