The Ukrainian world champion is ready to fight for the title of absolute world champion, he just needs a date.
Alexander Usik spoke about the preparations before the fight with Tyson Fury. We remind you that the fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion should take place in December of this year or next January. Usik himself does not believe that the fight will take place in December.
The Ukrainian said he wanted to quickly close the date issue to start training without unnecessary thought. After all, 14 weeks of hard work awaited him.
“I really like the stability and determination of a date, a place to choose a training place and prepare for the match without extra thought. I already understand all these shows, press conferences, fight promotion – they should.be – it’s an element of the show.
I practice every day. But I need somewhere around 14 weeks of a good training camp. Such a camp suits me.
For the first 4 weeks I will be doing some work to help me fully transition into camp. Then it will be a difficult 12 weeks of work,” Usik said in an interview on his own YouTube channel.
