Coach Craig Jones, who helped Alexander Volkanovski prepare for a fight with Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title, suggested the Russian broke his leg after hitting his opponent in the head.
Makhachev defended his title at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, knocking out Volkanovski in the first round.

Makhachev, 31, has 25 victories and one defeat in mixed martial arts.
