The fight is scheduled for March 2024 in Bulgaria
Regular WBA Regular heavyweight champion Manuel Charr (34-4, 20 KO) will defend his title against the Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KO).
The fight will take place in March 2024 in Bulgaria, Kubrat’s homeland. The exact date of the fight will be known later.
The WBA appointed Charr as a regular world champion, taking over the title previously held by Briton Daniel Dubois. The WBA ordered Charra to fight number five Jarred Miller, but the event also did not take place. At the same time, the winner of the head-to-head fight between Charr and Miller also had to meet an opponent determined by the WBA.
Pulev fought twice in championship fights. In 2014, the Bulgarian lost early to Vladimir Klitschko, and in 2020 to Anthony Joshua. In his last fight, Kubrat defeated Andrzej Wawrzyk, and Charr knocked out Nuri Seferi.
