Athletistic/MMA. UFC lightweight champion, Russian mixed martial arts fighter Islam Makhachev, has said when he intends to fight his next fight. This will be the third defense of the championship title.
“My next fight will be in June or July. But I still train every day, because I am the current champion, I have to defend my belt. I always have to be ready for that,” Makhachev said, as quoted by MMA Squad.
In his last fight, Islam Makhachev knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round on October 21, 2023 during the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
In total, the Russian has won 25 victories with one defeat in MMA. Makhachev’s next fight has not yet been scheduled, but he has already stated that he wants to move up to welterweight and fighting champion Leon Edwards.
