Bob Arumpromoter of IBF and IBO lightweight world champion Vasily Lomachenkosaid that he wants to organize the next fight of the Ukrainian with the WBC title holder Shakur Stevenson.
“Lomachenko will probably fight his next fight in November. Perhaps it will be Shakur Stevenson. Let’s see”.
“Defeat Shakur and “Tank”? Why not? But let’s enjoy the moment today and then figure out the next step,” the promoter said.
Previously, Arum spoke about the desire to organize a fight between Lomachenko and Stevenson. The fight will be possible provided that Shakur defeats his closest rival, Artem Harutyunyan.
He also expressed his readiness to fight with the Ukrainian Gervonta Davis. “Tank” will defend his WBA title against Frank Martin in his upcoming fight.
Vasily stated that he plans to take a short rest before returning to the ring. Lomachenko commented that he might have his next fight in 2024.
