Makhachev defended his UFC championship for the third time in a row. Islam earned his 14th consecutive victory in the American promotion. In terms of the length of the winning streak, Makhachev surpassed his friend Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Hall of Famer has 13 consecutive victories.
Note that Khabib Nurmagomedov won 29 victories in 29 fights during his career, but the Russian spent his first 16 fights outside the UFC. Islam Makhachev has 26 victories and one defeat in MMA.
