Director of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlev held a meeting with the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtiarev during which an agreement was reached on cooperation between the organizations.
— We had a meeting with Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev. We have agreed on cooperation between the IBA and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. I am happy to congratulate you on the appointment of a true professional from the world of sport. I am sure that fruitful joint work awaits us for the benefit of sports, athletes and coaches, – wrote the Kremlin on the Telegram channel .
Degtyarev was appointed head of the department in May, replacing Oleg Matytsin, who had headed the Sports Ministry since 2020.
