Wilder dropped out of the top ten heavyweights according to The Ring magazine

At the top outside the ranking is the absolute world champion Alexander Usik

Former world champion Deontay Wilder dropped out of the top ten best heavyweights in the world according to the authoritative magazine The Ring.

The American ranked ninth in the previous ranking publication. Chinese boxer Zhang Zhilei, who knocked out Deontay, moved to fourth place, overtaking Agit Kabayel. Daniel Dubois also improved his position, and Filip Hrgovic dropped to ninth place. The Nigerian Ewe Ajagba appeared in the top 10.

The top three in the ranking remained unchanged – Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker. The absolute world champion, Ukrainian Alexander Usik, is at the top of the list outside the ranking, owning The Ring belt.

Wilder lost to Zhilei by TKO in the fifth round. Deontay suffered his fourth career loss.

At the end of April, the Chairman of the General Authority of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al al-Sheikh, announced a fight between Wilder and another American, Jared Andersen. The event is scheduled in Los Angeles at BMO Stadium on August 3. However, Deontay himself noted that he would end his career if he lost to Zhang.
