Paris Fury tried to stop the former world champion from fighting for all the super heavyweight division titles.

Oleksandr Usyk and former WBC champion Tyson Fury may not meet in a rematch on December 21, 2024. At least if the British boxer listens to his wife.

According to Heat World, Paris Fury is “terrified” about her husband’s second fight against the Ukrainian, just as he was about the first fight. It was noted that the couple had some heated arguments before the first fight, which took place on May 18.

“Wife Paris had all these concerns – not to mention anger – about Tyson fighting in the first fight. She had to put the controversy aside to focus on making sure he didn’t go into a downward spiral after his loss .So if there’s going to be a rematch, he’ll have to go through another cycle – he’s afraid of it.

He begged Tyson not to fight in the first fight. They had a heated argument about it. In the end, he couldn’t even attend and watch the fight knowing what could have happened – and what would happen next,” said an unnamed person close to Fury’s family.

Remember that when Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko and then retired in 2015, he fell into deep depression and drug abuse. At the time, Paris said these were some of the worst years of their lives – and now she fears a repeat of that situation.

We remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision and became the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999.

In the past, Fury’s promoter spoke about the Briton’s condition after his loss to Usik.
