Athletistic/MMA. The fight between former UFC champion in two weight categories Conor McGregor and American Michael Chandler may not take place, said authoritative insider Ariel Helwani.

“The fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler is in limbo. The UFC is looking for an alternative plan. The optimism I spoke of a week ago is now gone. The fight has not yet been canceled, but it is possible that another opponent could be found for Chandler. Or other fighters will perform in the main fight of the UFC 303 tournament,” Helwani wrote on his social networks.

This fight was supposed to headline the UFC 303 tournament in Las Vegas (USA), which will take place on June 30.

McGregor has not entered the Octagon since July 2021 due to a serious leg injury. His professional mixed martial arts record is 22 wins and six losses.

Chandler has 23 wins and eight losses in his career.
