Russian UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedov will hold a bantamweight title fight with the winner of the Sean O’Malley-Merab Dvalishvili pair, journalist Kevin Iol reported on the social network X, citing promotion manager Dana White.
Nurmagomedov defeated American Corey Sandhagen in the main event of the UFC in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The bantamweight bout lasted all five rounds and ended with Umar winning by unanimous decision. Nurmagomedov, 28, has 18 wins and no losses in mixed martial arts.
The fight between American O’Malley and Georgian Dvalishvili will take place on September 14 in Las Vegas.
