Russian mixed martial arts fighter Usman Nurmagomedov defeated his compatriot Alexandra Shablia during the tournament in San Diego (USA). Khabib Nurmagomedov was present at the fight and was in a relative’s corner.
— I would like to thank Shabliya. He is very cool. I know what he is capable of. It was a very important fight for us. For us, this victory is a big step forward.
“I appreciate the new generation, our legacy. We are often asked: ‘Why are we like this?’ The answer is simple: we always work to the maximum, we give everything,” Khabib Nurmagomedov said after the fight between Usman and Shabliya.
Usman Nurmagomedov, 26, has 18 wins and no losses; another fight was ruled invalid. Chablius, 31, has 24 wins and four losses.
