Madrimov “saved” himself in two matches.
Former world champion in junior middleweight Israil Madrimov received an opponent – the holder of the WBC interim title in the same weight category, Virgil Ortiz.
The match, scheduled for February 22, has already become scandalous.
The thing is Madrimov will fight against Sergei Bogachuk on December 21.
Ukrainian promoter Tom Leffler responded to the announcement of the match by the representative of Uzbekistan.
“Bad karma. Sergey Bogachuk has more than 90 percent knockout rate, knocked out Virgil Ortiz twice. He will knock out Madrimov on December 21, no business with the judges,” he said.
We remind you that Dubois’ next opponent has been announced and the fight date has been set.
