Russian boxer Pavel Sosulin believes that the world champion Mike Tyson should not participate in battles.
In November, Tyson, 58, lost to blogger Jake Paul, 27, in an eight-round boxing match by unanimous decision.
“I can’t say I liked the fight between Tyson and Jake Paul. Until the last lap, I was feeding on the hope that Mike was up to something somewhere – some sort of explosion. But we find that time is not under anyone’s control. Okay, he came out for a good check. In general, I have a good attitude towards such fights, because it is always about the development and popularization of boxing. But I wish competitive fights would get the same views. I think it will happen soon.
I wouldn’t like to see Mike Tyson in the ring again. Age. As for my attitude towards the Paul brothers… They are businessmen. But if Jake had faced one of the best players – Canelo, Bivol, Beterbiev – he wouldn’t have even lasted two rounds. At the same time, I admit that they have a great influence on the industry. “My respect, what can I add here,” Sosulin told RT.
