Athletistic/ Boxing. The Mexican Gilberto Ramirez, who is preparing to challenge the WBA light heavyweight title holder (up to 79.4 kg) the Russian Dmitry Bivol at the end of the year, said he was ready to unify the belts in the event of victory.
“Winning all the titles is what I expect. First Bivol, then I will fight Beterbiev to become the absolute champion,” BoxingScene quoted Ramirez as saying.
In his last fight in May 2022, Ramirez knocked out ranked German Dominik Boesel (32-3, 12 KOs) in the fourth round, becoming the mandatory challenger in the WBA line. Later, promoter Eddie Hearn tried to set up Bivol with Briton Joshua Buatsi, but the organization did not deprive Ramirez of the opportunity to win the title.
