russian fighter Alexander Emelianenko replied to another mixed martial artist Alexander Shlemenko who brought up the subject of a sober lifestyle.
Earlier, Emelianenko challenged Shlemenko to a boxing match. Shlemenko said afterwards that he would postpone the fight for as long as possible. In his opinion, this will force Emelianenko to constantly prepare for battle and, thus, to maintain a sober lifestyle.
– What hurt you in the words of Shlemenko?
– Yes, you look at the Internet, how they piled on me all over the country. And now when everybody seen me straightening out, they changed their shoes like blotters, they talked different. You have to have your own opinion and stick to it. There are people who, from fight to fight, sit on a glass, hit worse than me, and Shlemenko is a hostage of public opinion, as the crowd says, that’s how he behaves,” Emelianenko told .
Emelianenko in MMA had 28 wins and suffered nine losses, Shlemenko had 61 wins with 14 losses.
