The UFC press service on the YouTube channel posted a video of the clash between the teams of the Swedish fighter Khamzat Chimaev and american Kevin Holland due to which the UFC 279 tournament card has undergone significant changes.
Media reported that around 100 people took part in the fight.
Footage shows Holland and Chimaev exchanging obscene words, they are not allowed to see each other by team members and security guards.
Initially, Chimaev was supposed to fight with Nate Diaz . However, Chimaev failed at the weigh-in and promotion head Dana White changed the card.
As a result, Chimaev went against Holland and won in the first round by submission. Diaz faced Tony Ferguson, winning by guillotine in the fourth round.
After the tournament, in a press conference, White called out wild rumors about the staged nature of the conflict between Chimaev and Holland. He said that with such fighters it is impossible to agree on such a thing.
