The promoter said earlier that the American would not be able to win a single round against Oleksandr Usyk
Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder commented on the words of promoter Eddie Hearn that he will not be able to win a single round in a fight against the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk. According to the American, Hearn is angry because of the defeat of his fighter, Anthony Joshua, in a fight with a Ukrainian.
“We were amused. Everyone has their own opinion. I can’t remove his opinion, just like anyone else.”
“We need to arrange a fight and see what happens. I don’t think it will. Let’s see how things turn out. Maybe he’s still a little angry that his fighter got beat up.”
Previously, Wilder was enthusiastic about Usyk’s words about wanting to attend his fight with Robert Helenius. The American is ready to take the chance to fight for the world title again.
In his last fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
The Ukrainian said that Wilder could become his next opponent. The fight could take place in the US. Usyk plans to watch the fight between Wilder and Robert Helenius on October 15 in Brooklyn.
