The fate of the title was determined on two maps
The Outsiders team became the winner of the CS:GO tournament — IEM Rio Major 2022.
In the final, the Outsiders met Heroic and beat the opponent on two maps – Mirage (16:12) and Overpass (16:5).
Previously, Outsiders played under the auspices of Virtus.pro, but the Russian organization was banned from playing under its own tag due to the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine.
For winning the major in Rio de Janeiro, the Outsiders earned $500,000. Heroic received $170,000. MOUZ and FURIA Esports took the 3rd-4th place, having received 80 thousand dollars each.
Major in Brazil was held from October 31 to November 13. The prize fund of the IEM Rio Major was $1,250,000.
