The Sochi cyberfootball tournament entered the Russian record books

On June 23, Sochi hosted the international open cyberfootball tournament CYBER FUN FEST. As a result of the tournament, its organizer, the Krasnaya Polyana game zone, established a feat that was included in the Russian record books in the nomination “Cyberfootball tournament on the largest screen in Russia”.

Professional players and game console fans from Japan, Mexico, Malawi, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia came to the electronic football game. In total, about 100 people participated, whose participation was free. A total of 64 matches were played on the media facade of the RED ARENA sports and entertainment venue.

– There are very few records in eSports, so this tournament has attracted special attention. First of all, its atypical format. The game on the big screen and in the mountains is impressive and spectacular. Such an event is even interesting to watch, and even more so to participate, – said Stanislav Konenko, editor-in-chief of the Russian Book of Records.

The Krasnaya Polyana game zone was included in the Russian Book of Records with the nomination “Cyberfootball Tournament on the Biggest Screen in Russia”. Technical parameters of the RED ARENA screen: 36×6 m², area 216 m², resolution 2880×768.

“Unexpectedly for us, the tournament immediately gained international status,” said Elina Kushnirenko, director of public relations for the Krasnaya Polyana gaming area. “We are pleased that this event has generated so much interest. Initially, this event was created to support the Sochi Poker Festival poker tournament, but after seeing a lot of interest from Sochi residents and guests, we decided to expand. And, apparently, not in vain.

CYBER FUN FEST by RED ARENA winner Yuri Soshinsky received a ticket to the SPF HIGH ROLLER poker tournament with the chance to win a new Tesla Model 3 car.
