In the first week of release, the game generated more than 12.6 million hours of views on Twitch
A week has passed since release STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl. The game by Ukrainian developer GSC Game World has become one of the most successful game releases of 2024 in live streaming.
According to Ukrainian analytical company Stream Chartsin the first week after its release, the STALKER 2 section on Twitch generated more than 12.6 million hours of views – at this time this is the fourth highest figure among all new gaming releases in 2024. Only Black Myth: Wukong, Palworld and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 had a higher first seven day rate.

Compared to the day of release, the distribution of the STALKER 2 audience by language segment has changed. If on the first day English-language and Russian-language broadcasts generated approximately the same number of hours of viewing, then by the end of the week the dominance of the English language became more obvious – 37.8% versus 29.1% for Russian. The share of viewing hours for the Ukrainian language decreased from approximately 9.2% to 7.1% over the week, but it is still in the top 3.
In the first full day, the STALKER 2 section collected 413 Ukrainian-language channels at its peak – this is the best result for a language in the history of the platform. No other game has attracted so many streamers from Ukraine at the same time. The previous best figure belonged to the Dota 2 section and was 103 channels at its peak. Even in the non-gaming section of Just Chatting, the best result for the peak of Ukrainian-language channels was only 128.

The release of STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl took place on November 20. The video game is available on PC and Xbox Series. Price for Steam – from 1399 (regular edition) to 2549 hryvnia (Ultimate Edition).
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is a continuation of the series of games STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (2007), STALKER: Clear Sky (2008) and STALKER: Call of Pripyat (2009).
