At the same time, he promised to change the format of the tournament to re-engage the top clubs from all European championships. So far, among the participants, as before, only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are listed.
According to Reichart, the commercial model of the English Championship should be used as an example. At the same time, Bernd was not embarrassed by the fact that the representatives of the Premier League themselves had previously refused to take part in such a tournament.
“At first, the dialogue can work without them. I will talk to clubs in other countries, but this is not an exclusive initiative, this is an inclusive initiative,” said the CEO of the Financial Times.
Likewise, Reichart also claims that the governing bodies of European and world football, UEFA and FIFA, have abused their dominant position under European competition law, citing resistance to this regime.
It will be remembered that the previous Superleague project collapsed in the spring of 2022 before it even started. After that, the organizers released a statement in which they promised to return in a modified format.
