Victor Kornienko and Maryan Shved remain in the infirmary
Miner’s Defender Yefim Konoplya in the coming days will return to the Pitmen’s training in the general group.
“Hemp is coming. In a day or two, he will already be training with the team,” Shakhtar doctor Vadim Popov said.
“We have seriously injured Vitya Kornienko, he is undergoing rehabilitation in Kyiv under the supervision of our specialists. Marian Shved – he has such a “terrible” diagnosis as pubalgia. Well, it’s certainly not scary, but it requires a long rehabilitation.”
“Constant travel is a very big challenge for our entire coaching staff and the medical department. It’s very difficult for the players. If earlier we boarded a plane for the Champions League matches and after three to five hours we were anywhere in Europe, now we actually spend a day to get to Madrid or Glasgow.”
“Players have very little time to recover. But we work fruitfully with the coaching staff and find solutions that are the only true ones in such a work schedule.”
Konopli scored one goal in 10 matches for the Pitmen. Kornienko has played only 18 minutes for Shakhtar this season. Marjan Shved scored three goals and provided one assist in nine meetings.
Shakhtar are in second place in the UPL standings. The Pitmen also continue to fight for a place in the playoffs of the Champions League.
