At the end of last season, Fernandez agreed with CSKA to suspend the contract for family reasons and is now in Brazil, not playing for another club.
“Mario will make a decision regarding his future after the World Cup,” the agent said.
Fernandez has over 300 appearances for CSKA. The defender also played for the Russian national team, having spent 33 games in its squad and speaking at the home world championship in 2018.
