The Pitmen’s head coach notes the winger’s high professional ethics
Main coach Shakhtar Igor Jovicevich shared his impressions about the work of the winger Mikhail Mudrik in training.
“Everything he does on the football field is incredible. His integration with the ball makes him happy.”
“From the first day, I had the opinion that a soccer ball is everything for Mudrik. And I was convinced of this. It’s his fanaticism to work daily, the best way to make yourself [лучшим]. In fact, I rarely saw such people. Mudrik has a very high professional ethics. It is almost impossible to kick him out of training, he is the first to come to training.
“At the training camp in the Netherlands, we noticed that he has an amazing talent for attacking. Two or three sentences of remark – and he understood it. In the Champions League, it was noticeable, this is proof of how much he added in defense. What he shows in attack is natural. His focus on football, his concentration is his best asset.
It makes me happy as a coach that he is the leader of the team.”
A number of European clubs are interested in Mudrik, including Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle. The Gunners have held talks with Mudrik and his entourage and intend to sign the Ukrainian in the winter transfer window. The Pitmen are open to selling the winger in January. The Ukrainian club plans to sell Mudrik for at least 70 million euros.
This season, Mudryk has played 15 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions. He has 8 goals and 7 assists.
Shakhtar is second in the UPL with 27 points after 11 rounds. In the next match, the Pitmen will play with the leader Dnipro-1 on November 19.
