Pitmen lost to Dnipro-1 in the central match of the UPL tour
Miner’s coach Igor Jovichevich summed up the match of the 14th round of the UPL, in which his wards lost to SC Dnipro-1 (1:2). According to the Croatian specialist, the Dnipro team deserved to win in the final duel.
“We must now, after the match, congratulate Dnepr-1 on the victory. We have to give credit: the team looks great, powerful, with pragmatic football, offering a game in space through Dovbik with his characteristics and quality. What we conceived, I personally conceived, did not work out, and the account can give such a short analysis.
“But we still didn’t want to back away from our game through ball control: to hold the ball, to stretch, to play between the lines, to sharpen. But today it turned out that the space offered by Dnipro-1 was more effective than the ball. They used space on the counter and that allowed them to score two goals.”
“And we must take the hit, we must use this defeat and analyze. There are still many rounds ahead, many points ahead, but today it turned out that Dnepr-1 scored two goals, and we can say that we deserved the victory, ”summed up Jovicevich.
Shakhtar are in second place in the UPL standings. In the next round of the Ukrainian Championship, the Pitmen will play Vorskla on November 23.
