Amsterdam midfielderajax » Mohamed Ihattaren previously arrested in Utrecht, was released, his lawyer Sander Janssen said on social media.
Ihattaren’s arrest became known on Tuesday as the 20-year-old footballer was taken to the police station. The reason why the midfielder was arrested was not announced by the police. According to Janssen, the player’s arrest is linked to a “long-standing incident” which the police are still investigating. Janssen noted that in the near future the player will return to Italian Juventus, who own the rights to Ihattaren.
Ihattaren in the 2021/22 season played one game for the main team of Ajax.
