The Italian club hesitates due to the high price of the Ukrainian striker
Salernitana renewed interest in striker SC Dnepr-one Artyom Dovbik. The Italian club plans to return to negotiations with the Dnieper on the forward’s transfer.
Salernitana tried to buy the Ukrainian striker in the summer. The Italians offered 1.3 million euros for Dovbik’s loan for the season with an option to buy for 8 million. However, Dnepr-1 insisted on paying the full amount of 12 million euros.
Salernitana is still not ready to pay the high transfer fee of the Ukrainian, having spent a significant part of the budget in the summer. The club also understands that the option of renting a player is unlikely to suit Dnipro-1.
Dovbik played 21 matches in all tournaments of the season for Dnipro. The striker scored 15 goals in them and gave four assists.
Dnipro-1 is the leader in the Ukrainian Premier League. In the next match, Oleksandr Kucher’s team will play with Kryvbas on November 28.
