Kucher: We need to strengthen three or four positions. We talk to both Ukrainians and foreigners

Dnipro-1 will hold a winter training camp in Turkey

Head coach of Dnipro-1 Alexander Kucher spoke about the team’s plans during the winter break and about the need for staffing.

“First we will gather in Slovakia, and then we will move to Turkey. A two-week gathering is planned there. Negotiations are already underway with sparring partners, we will find out their names closer to the start of the camp.”

“Something happened, but you always want more. First of all, I want to strengthen in order to compete on equal terms with Dynamo and Shakhtar. In the first round, it was clear that we did not have enough personnel. In some games we had two or three substitutes. We need a clip, because we will play both in the domestic arena and in European competitions. There is a war going on in the country, we have constant, long journeys and it will be hard to play with one line-up.”

“Negotiations are underway, but I will not disclose the details yet. Because it is not clear whether we will be able to sign these players or not. We need to strengthen three or four positions. We talk to both Ukrainians and foreigners. God willing, it will be possible to sign them. We definitely need to step up.”

Dnipro-1 is leading the Ukrainian league, ahead of Shakhtar by five points. The national championship will resume in March. Also in the spring, the team of Oleksandr Kucher will play with the Cypriot AEK in the 1/16 finals of the Conference League.

We also recall. that forward Dnepr-1 Artem Dovbik was recognized as the best player in November-December in the UPL.
