UEFA officially rescheduled Super Bowl 2023 from Russian Kazan.
The 2023 UEFA Super Cup match will be hosted Athens. The duel between the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League will take place in the capital of Greece on August 16 at the stadium Georgios Karaiskakis.
Earlier, UEFA suspended all Russian teams and clubs from participating in competitions under the auspices of organizations in the 2022/23 season. UEFA also postponed the final match of the Champions League 2021/22 from St. Petersburg to Paris and terminated the sponsorship agreement with Russian Gazprom.
The current holders of the UEFA Super Cup are Real Madrid. The Blancos defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the summer of 2022 in the Supercup match.
